Public Speaking and Presentations

Commanding Attention and Being Understood

Having to speak in public, whether at work before co-workers or outside the office before strangers, can be a terrifying experience -- but it doesn't have to be!

This class will train you the practical art preparing for, delivering, and evaluating your presentations. You will learn how to develop presentations with clear and definite goals, and the techniques.

There are four major goals of any presentation.  Simply stated, they are:

1.  Get the information into their heads.
 2.  Make it stick.
 3.  Foster recall of the information when they need to use it.
 4.  Trigger compliance with what you expect or need them to do.

You will become disciplined in focusing on the truly imperative points you must get across and thereby not kill your message with too much detail or other distractions.

By learning techniques for evaluation as well as controlling anxiety, you be able to deliver your presentations with confidence.

And yes, you will learn how to handle hostile people and difficult questions for the inevitable day that both will happen to you.

By the end of this session, you will be much more confident in your ability to speak or present anywhere, anytime.

You will have the opportunity to speak to deliver a presentation (voluntary practice). After your presentation, you will gain additional insights from the instructor's coaching and from a group critique.

We always tailor our workshops to your specific needs and expectations.
