resume to stand out from other applicants and help make sure
you are the one who gets an interview.

Each job varies
-- so must your resume.
|
You must revise your master resume
for each prospective employer's needs.
You can't expect to be among the three applicants who get interviews if
you write a generic, untargeted resume that looks like those from the 100
other applicants.

Prepare cover
letters that employers want to read
|
It
is easy to prepare an effective cover
letter that interviewers will actually want to read (interviewers
really dread facing a stack of wordy, empty cover letters).
You need a confident and specific first
paragraph followed by a list of what the employer wants that is matched by
blurbs of your qualifications to meet the employer's needs. And then you
need a strong finish in which you say you can do the job and look forward
to meeting them in the interview. See example here.

You
don't have to be 'good' writer
|
You don’t have to be a "good
writer" to produce great, targeted resumes.
The Guyant Resume Grid system does most of the organizing
for you. This process will help any level applicant - from students and entry-level
applicants all the way to executives.
 |
You will gain confidence |
You will gain a lot confidence when you
see how much more you have to offer, particularly when its shows up in
your new resume. The increased confidence will help you handle the tough emotions
faced during job hunting and interviews.

Available to write resumes
and cover letters |
Even though you probably don't need our
help if you follow the suggestions in these pages, we are available to
critique, revise and even write resumes and cover
letters. The fee would range from
$100 to $300; the more work you do, the less we charge.
Fees:
$0 if you do the work yourself and use the
examples in these pages and we don't work with you at all (which we
contend you won't need if you really do the grid exercise and follow one
of the examples in these pages). This works really well when you ask
friends to review your drafts and make suggestions.
$100: You complete a work history
grid and email it to us along with a draft resume that you write based on
the grid. We will then review the resume with you online and help
you improve it to your satisfaction, no matter how long that take
(typically one to two hours on the phone with you). But it won't
take long if you thoroughly do the grid first (see comments from those who
did and found huge value from the process).
$200: You skip the grid exercise and
then send a draft resume for us to review with you online (which will need
to be done at least twice). We will work with you until you are
satisfied with one resume.
$400: You skip the grid exercise and
don't draft a resume but hire us to interview you and then draft the
resume for you, and work with you online until you are satisfied with one
resume. Again, you can save money by doing more work ahead of time,
so it certainly is worth it to try that first.
Our expert skills will help you draw
out your hidden assets (that is what the grid does for you). We
have never failed to help job applicants
discover their hidden
knowledge, skills, and other winning attributes.
We will work with you until
you are satisfied.

100%
guaranteed
|
We are so confident that your resume and
cover letter will be significantly better that we unconditionally
guarantee a 100% refund if you are not delighted (not
just satisfied).
 |
Optional
one-to-one practice of tough questions |
We
are also available to help you practice answering the tough questions you might face during a forthcoming
job interview. This is usually done via telephone at times suitable to you
and the interview coach. It can be in person, depending of location
and schedules. The fee will vary according to preparation time and
other factors. There is no cost for an estimate. You are
welcome to send an inquiry to Al.Guyant@verizon.net
or call 608-825-8844.
