   Communicating Effectively Across Four Generations

For the first time in human history, we have four or more generations in our workplaces, where managers and co-workers are having difficulty understanding each other's words, work methods and use of technology.  And it gets more complicated with greater cultural diversity in the same workplaces.

This workshop will help you better understand what is happening and how to reduce the conflict and inefficiency the difference can cause.

  • Gain confidence and comfort in leading a unit with an older generation of staff members.

  • Establishing your position with former co-workers you now supervise

  • Identify which traditional roles are realistic for you in leading older staff and former workmates.

  • Improve knowledge of generational differences to enhance overall relationships.

  • Examine how your personality traits may mesh or conflict with various traits and styles of an older generation and other people.

  • Develop a personal action plan to lead based on who you really are.

  • Learn how to effectively implement the vital distinction between managing work and leading people.
The content and lively style will be valuable for persons with little experience and also beneficial for more experienced supervisors.
